Ralph Vagnoni was the founder and CEO of Apteon, a specialist P&C business and technology consultancy which was acquired by CastleBay in 2007. Since the acquisition Ralph has served as CastleBay’s Vice President of Business Development. Prior to the acquisition Ralph and his staff partnered with CastleBay on several software selection, core systems implementation and business re-engineering projects. Most notably, Ralph managed the legacy replacement of a billing system for a major workers compensation carrier and a complete core systems replacement for a smaller personal lines carrier. Ralph has more than twenty years experience in the insurance industry. He began his career with a national carrier, gaining insurance operations experience and progressing though several supervisory and management positions. Ralph subsequently worked with regional carriers in both business operations and IT roles. During this period Ralph led major reengineering projects for the regional commercial regional carrier, improving workflow, job design, and technology utilization and served as corporate project manager, where he successfully led the implementation of a new policy administration system and several other initiatives. Prior to founding Apteon Ralph served as CIO of a regional E&S carrier. Ralph utilizes his strong background in project management, insurance and technology to lead CastleBay in the acquisition and definition of new engagements, the oversight of resource hiring and partnerships, and selected project executions. | ||
